About Laura Gagnon, Canadian Ataxia Conference 2012 musician performer:

Laura Gagnon brought her powerful voice and talents to the Canadian Ataxia Conference's "Bruteman Live!" philanthropy concert in2012. She performed her single "Helicopter" and a number of duets and trios with Kristin Dawn, Sarah Smith, 'Bruteman' Roger Foley, and Dana Hartman.

Since the age of 8 Laura has performed at many fairs, festivals and fundraisers. She has sung national anthems at sporting events and Canada Day celebrations.

She sings lead and backup vocals, plays keyboards and is classically trained in those fields. She also performs in the jazz field as a singer and in the R&B rap field as a writer, co-writer, producer and entertainer.

In 2005 Laura joined Indie recording artist Mister E and has entertained at numerous corporate, private and club events. As a member of Mister E, Laura has had numerous opportunities to write and record original material as well as radio jingles.

In addition to performing with Mister E, Laura works with local writers and producers, Kearin Hyde (Logik) and Ryan McNevin, writing, co-writing and co-producing original compositions in the R&B, pop and Rap genre which is enjoying frequent airplay on local radio station 106.9 "The Beat" (Fanshawe College. Laura has been training with internationally acclaimed television and film vocal trainer Elaine Overholt and has worked with Award winning producer and songwriter Chad Irschick.

Just recently, Laura formed her own band, “Laura G and the Band” which features Mike Fowler on guitar, Benjamin O’Brien on keys, Chris Levesque on bass and Clint Alves on drums. Together they play mainly Laura’s originals with a few covers by Heart, Etta James and Christina Aguilera. The band released a single, “Helicopter” and will soon be recording a short EP.
